Moore Family: She was beautiful. Radiant. Elegant. He was handsome. Playful. Principled. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, pearls in all. He was a wonderful uncle who taught any niece or nephew, who wanted to learn, how to play chopsticks with two fingers on the piano in a duet with him.
They met while she was attending John Hay High School and he was attending a trade school and later completing his education while serving in the Army. He was 21 and she was 19 when they married in 1952.
It was easy for them to fall in love with each other. Years later, at weekly Saturday evening gatherings at their home, with good food, better drinks, serious playing of the card game bid whist and lots of cousins competing in dance contests.
Their love had remained true all those years. That was easy to see too.
